Some details for 2017 KGCF. 🙂

The 2017 KGCF will be held on Sunday 19th November in Aotani, Kobe.

Thanks to the large number of volunteers and festival-goers who participated in the 2016 event, it was a huge success and also a lot of fun! In all, 1,138,958 yen was raised for charity!

Organized by: KGCF Executive Committee

Venue: Kobe Kaisei Girls’ Junior and Senior High School

For 37 years the Kobe Global Charity Festival has raised millions of yen for children’s projects in Asia and Japan, providing educational opportunities for those in the direst circumstances. We now have an educational element to the festival. With student participation, there were poster displays, presentations, videos and fun activities, to help us all get a better understanding of the work and benefits of charities around the world.

With your help, last year the festival raised over ¥1,100,000 for charity. This year we want to do even better. So come on out, enjoy this very special day and support those in need. With fantastic international food, music and entertainment, games, crafts, and specialty goods, giving has never been so much fun!

Hope everyone can come out and make it this year!

Kobe Global Charity Festival relies heavily on volunteers in order to make our festival a success and make sure every possible yen goes to our charity organizations.

Money raised in 2016 supported the following NPOs:

1. Nepal Family & Friends Project (Supporting Nepalese women and children in need)
2. Bokk Jambaar (Project to empower Senegalese women)
Kobe Shoin Japan-Cambodia Project (Education of disadvantaged children)
3. Toyonaka International Friendship Association (Nepal)
Kobe Shinseinyujiin Children’s Home
4. NPO ‘Peace and Nature’ in Kobe (educating our local community on Organic Farming)

There are opportunities to help out in many areas of the event. You'll get to enjoy all the events and eat some fantastic food while also feeling the satisfaction of working to help make it all happen. Oh and you'll make lots of friends too.
